Triliunan Rupiah Uang Negara untuk Lumpur Lapindo

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta–Pemerintah telah mengalokasikan anggaran negara hingga Rp 6,2 trilun sejak 2007 untuk menangani dampak dari luberan lumpur Lapindo di Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur.

 

Negara Timur Ikut Kritik Indonesia di Jenewa

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta -Direktur Eksekutif Human Rights Working Group Refendi Djamin mengatakan, dalam forum Universal Periodic Review di sidang Dewan Hak Asasi Manusia di Jenewa, tidak hanya negara dari benua Amerika dan Eropa yang mengkritik Indonesia. “Negara-negara Timur alias Asia pun ikut kritik Indonesia terkait kebebasan beragama,” kata Refendi, selaku pemberi rekomendasi dari Indonesia, via video conference, Kamis, 24 Mei 2012.

 

Hari Tanpa Rokok 2012

Tanggal 31 Mei ditetapkan oleh Organisasi Kesehatan Sedunia (WHO) sebagai Hari Tanpa Rokok. Meskipun dalam bahasa Inggrisnya disebut sebagai World No Tobacco Day, di Indonesia barangkali lebih baik diterjemahkan sebagai Hari Tanpa Rokok. Supaya jangan dibelokkan bahwa kegiatan gerakan anti-rokok diterjemahkan sebagai anti-petani tembakau.

 

China won Thomas and Uber Cup 2012

I didn’t watch the final match since Malaysia is not involved on it. Malaysia this time even failed to even get to the Finals of this championship for Uber Cup as our women badminton team is extremely poor compared to the others. Luckily, there is still something to see for from this tournament as our men badminton team advanced successfully into the Finals of Thomas Cup held concurrently with the Uber Cup. But that is not long, as Malaysia stopped at quarterfinal after losing to China. So overall, I didn’t watch the whole championship this time.

 

2012 Champions League Winner: Chelsea

England’s Chelsea Football Club has won the 2012 UEFA Champions League after beating Bayern Munich in a penalty shootout; marking the first time Chelsea has reigned as Europe’s champion soccer team in the 107-years they’ve been around.

The penalty shootout victory against Germany’s Bayern Munich “was a Cinderella story,” Bleacherreport.com reported.

During normal play time, the Germans dominated the soccer field, however, Chelsea’s defense held strong for the most part.  When Bayern finally did break through, they were staring down the field at the often theatrical Didier Drogba.
